Pro Football Player Arrested for DUI

On Thursday April 26^th, two time Pro Bowler and safety on the Washington Redskins Brandon Meriweather was arrested for DUI in Arlington, Virginia. A police officer spotted his car going almost 20 miles over the legal limit. He was pulled over for speeding, but when the officer approached the vehicle he smelled alcohol on the the football stars' breath.

The officer questioned him and Meriweather told him he was headed home from a nightclub. This prompted the officer to check for alcohol impairment. After refusing to take a breathalyzer, he then performed poorly on the field sobriety test . The DUI officer placed him under arrest for DUI
